Inside a honey shop off the busy Zubairy Street in central Sana'a, the shelves are lined with honey, perfume, natural oils, and two mixtures called "Mixture to Increase Weight" (top right) and "Thursday Night Mixture" (bottom right). "What's the Thursday Night Mixture?" I ask. The shopkeeper, a smiley man from Shabwa with pepper-salt short hair, grins. "Oh that, it's just to encourage the men," he says.
